We visit for the jacuzzi - bliss! Positive: Visiting Gembrook is beautiful! The area is scenic and peaceful and the local restaurants are great! We have eaten at The Independent and The Local, both of which are a short walk down the street. The jacuzzi is the perfect way the relax. Negative: This was our second stay at the property and we noticed that a few things were missed this time. There was one firefighter for the fireplace. No toilet paper (the IGA was a short walk away for us to purchase some), I think the last guests shower wash was left in the shower, we had a power outage (my husband was able find the switchboard, and a aid raid siren went off at 10am and again around 3am. We had to Google if it was an evacuation, which was alarming but after a few minutes of googling we understood the different lengths of the sirens.

Extremely cosy and warm stay with everything considered for us to simply enjoy the space. Positive: Wonderful cosy cottage with everything needed for our stay. The fire and spa were a highlight however the smaller things such as the robes and breakfast made our stay extremely enjoyable. Negative: Nothing it was lovely.

Nice stay, but being in the industry I know what can be improved to make it better. Positive: Great hosts, nice, clean and tidy, well appointed, as advertised. Hosts fixed the couple of issues we had very quickly. Lovely spa and outdoor area. Well appointed kitchen with all the essentials you need. Negative: It’s obvious the place needs some work. The bathroom extractor fan is noisy, old, and needs replacing. The vanity unit has been replaced at some point as you can see the wall hasn’t been painted to cover where the old unit was. The paintwork around the floor trims needs doing properly. The bed needs a bigger, thicker doona, the one we had was way too thin for Winter and was too small for 2 bigger people. An extra lounge chair would be nice. Road noise is an issue.

Beautiful cottage experience. Positive: The cottage was set in a beautiful location. The room was lovely and private. We especially enjoyed the wood fire and the jacuzzi. Negative: As I read in a previous post, it can become quite light in the room in the morning but our host was kind to allow us a late check in which meant we didn’t have to worry about waking early and then taking a nap. The bed can be seen through the stain glass window of the front door. This was a beautiful feature but we prayed no one would come to the front door during our visit.

very cozy and the perfect quiet getaway Positive: the fireplace was so cozy, Liz left us extra firewood which was amazing because its been so cold. We came to celebrate our anniversary in a chill way in the midst of busy work life and this was a perfect respite. The hot tub was clean and so relaxing. the cottage itself is very clean. Liz was so friendly and chill. She was prompt and very helpful. Amazing vibes and host. Negative: ac remote was dodgy but we discovered the fireplace had a fan which warmed up the whole cottage. Liz was also prompt to come over and magically turn on the ac anyway.
